Jack Daniel

A type of the best sold Tennessee whiskey, Jack Daniels is ideally famous for the black label and squared bottling, manufactured at Lynchburg. Built in 1956 and possessed by the “Brown-Forman Corporation”, the Jack Daniel distillery carried out the selling of the celebratory whiskey bottles. However, their home county at Moore being a dry one, the merchandise is not available for drinking at different restaurants or stores. Subsequently, due to the set criteria, this item can be regarded as an exquisite bourbon whiskey. Yet the company disapproves of this label, and sells it as an individual Tennessee whisky product.

History

Born in the September of 1846, to Lucinda Cook and Calaway Daniel, Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel had twelve other siblings. He died in the year 1911, being infected by blood poisoning. Although he was not married, and was devoid of children, Jack adopted Lem Motlow, his nephew. Lem started with keeping the account details for the distillery. Referring to his detoriating health, the distillery was then handed over to Lem, who in the year 1947, following his death, passed on the right of the distillery to his five children, Reagor, Conner, Robert, Mary and Dan.

Production process

Before maturation, the whisky goes through a filtration process via sugared maple charcoal and are then kept in huge vats of wood. This is eventually an add on step, that is generally not followed for producing authentic bourbon. However, the company demands that this single
process, gives the drink a whole new texture.

GENTLEMAN JACK

Manufactured at the Jack Daniel Distillery, this kind of Tennessee whisky was launched in 1988, at the American whisky market. Labelled as a “super premium” brand, the Gentleman Black is considered to be a higher quality than the usual premium branded Jack Daniel. Just before putting into the kegs for maturation, following the process same as Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, this exotic drink is also mellowed down with charcoal. Additionally, after the maturation process, the Gentleman Jack is mellowed down again, for the second time, giving it an additional smooth texture and being claimed as the single whisky all over, to go through the mellow down process in charcoal, twice. With a warm silk finish, this full body drink has hints of fruitiness and spiciness, making every sip equally enjoyable.

TENNESSEE HONEY

This exotic drink is a mixture of exclusive honeyed alcohol along with the Tennessee whisky, resulting in a unique taste. The traces of honey complimented by the extra smoothed finish, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whisky is an extraordinary drink by itself.

OLD NO. 7

The exclusive taste of Jack Daniels is a result of the process being carried on differently. Before being aged in handcrafted kegs, the whiskey is mellowed down in charcoal to every drop. However, there is no definite time for aging, the whisky is declared to be complete only after being tasted and approved by experts. Even after century, the traditional way is followed to prepare the Tennessee, making sure it taste, smells and feels just like the old one.

SINGLE BARREL

Aged in the high altitude of the distillery’s barrel house, the fluctuations in temperature enhances the depth of taste and texture. Ever keg is handpicked, in order to give off the strong tastes of caramel and vanilla, with hints of roasted oak.
